Target group

The validation procedure is aimed at

• those who have acquired vocational skills
• in Germany and/or abroad
• but who do not have formal proof in the form of a vocational certificate and
• irrespective of their current employment status.

»ValiKom Transfer« can thus help both those without vocational qualifications and those with vocational qualifications but who are currently working in a different field.

To be eligible for the procedure, participants must be at least 25 years old and have relevant work experience.

The target group also includes those with work experience gained abroad who are not entitled to recognition of this qualification in accordance with the Berufsqualifikationsfeststellungsgesetz [German Professional Qualifications Assessment Act].

At the end of the procedure, the relevant chamber will issue a certificate to confirm and attest the vocational skills acquired by the certificate holder. The skills are assessed in terms of a recognised vocational qualification. The participants get motivation to improve their vocational skills because of the extensive counceling during the whole process.
